cool your tapes, child
I know it’s been a long while
but for the sake of this man-made earth, wild
will the wind blow on me and miles
down to wolves running up to sunset
feeling like a lost king
mustaches on everything
dripping off nozzles
come on, like you’re like that -
psh, honey, I know you like you never did
and that’s what it’s worth it
so just jewel it up and smile
forget about the faces
angers eating races
of laces, counting down to the days you
fall up from the castle
covered in ivy
like you’re floating on God’s eye
shining in the shrine and
bleeding out silver
to all the little children
poor in a village
like their brains are made of horse shit
feeding on sweet mint
that grows in nearby forests
from God’s palm they work it
into golden ridges
in rings and other things
to keep something else busy
while they fix up with inner visions
to think it was a miracle
slipping on truthful
like it was written in the Bible
choking up handfuls
and playing with mantles
will they go to chant or
get all black and swollen
melt into their dinner
fall into a dreamer
breaking all the seamer
like it was trying to keep her
from leaving

excuse me missile gun draggers
would you like a heaping helping
of jeopardized leopards
attacked by coyotes
and monopolized by Niagra
falls down the stairs, yah
calls you his hair ha
and lulls about stroking his stripes
does he sculpt you to scare you?
or braid you with dairy
and if he were made of a theory
that the world is dying
were we the victims?
or crooked avengers
bending with harlots
dirty with drug dust
in sad hotel bathrooms
caring for business suit

my whole world is bright
bleached white like a white sand desert
with a single castle
worn and weathered
and a huge sun
creeping over and eating the horizon
bleeding across the canvas of ground
with standing guys and
with bleeding eyes and
shining hands and
turkish fans can you take a call?
I was scared at church
the preacher’s dreamland suit and licorice tongue
his hands swelling eyes melting
across the floor forming puddles of hermaphroditic pools of fairy gods
all swimming swirling in a fun house of diamond shoes don’t come back in august don’t come back at all

I went down to the river I sat down on the shore put my hands in the water and I can’t remember any more.
Now I’m cursed...

my mind peels like a banana
exploding in white heat
dissolving into tobacco
you look up and it snaps back
Whitney spinning cotton
Gandhi spitting silver
I was the quilt man
my hands turned into moths and flew south
I know it’s sad to have a dog who’s addicted
but he knows one thing will turn on another
spinning axes geometry
occurring overlaid geography
sung by a manta ray
stung by a scorpion
what’s 6 million dollars like
is this something I’ll remember in the next life

I ruined my own life
I was built for disaster
I was born guilty
I was born evil
I was never innocent
and how many days will I live ungrateful?

WAY Cincinnati, Ohio
Hi :) My name is Samuel Elijah. I started recording my music when I was 11 years old. It has come a long way since then in many respects, but I feel it retains a similar personality, which is my own. The recordings on this page date back to when I was 15. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer here. Thanks a lot!! Bless you and have a wonderful day! ... more
